Heather has been performing music publicly from the age of 10 and began teaching in 2018. Her unconventional way of teaching helps promote the creativity of her students, as well as encourage a fun learning environment. While still focusing on the fundamentals of music theory, students have the freedom to choose the material they learn as well as help shape their learning experience. Each lesson is individualized to the student's learning needs to provide them with a personalized uniquely crafted lesson just for them. Her credentials consists of 19 years vocal/performing, 14 years guitar/songwriting, 9 years ukulele, and 6 years bass guitar. She teaches beginner students in all skillsets and up to advanced students in vocals, songwriting, and performing.
These music lessons are held via Zoom Video Communications. Students will receive a link to access the chatroom that will be used for all of their lesson appointments. Students should sign onto Zoom at least two minutes before the scheduled time, as well as have a notebook, pen/pencil ready to write out any creativity that comes along, as well as have their instruments tuned and ready to go.
For the safety and wellbeing of the instructor, in-person music lessons will only be held within a students home if the student is a minor and in such situations, parents and/or legal guardians must be home. Adults who wish to take in-person lessons must be able to provide a safe, public space and/or business that is willing to host the student and teacher for the allotted timeframe, until the teacher is able to provide a safe studio space for the best flow of creativity.
"Our daughter Christine has been with Heather since 2018. She is a guitar player and singer. We feel Heather is a great instructor. And absolutely the best fit for our daughter. So glad we met her. Not to mention shes a wonderful performer her self. We give her a big 10 out of 10!"

"Our son started taking guitar lessons with Heather when he was just 6 years old with no prior exposure to guitar at all. You could tell within the first 10 minutes that Heather had a way of putting kids at ease and making them comfortable. She didn't push her music preferences on him, immediately asking him what he wanted to play. Her techniques took him from playing one chord to writing his own music and winning state wide competitions in just a year and a half! He loved taking lessons with Heather. Anyone would be lucky to learn from her and have some of her obvious passion for music rub off on them."
